In California, and particularly Santa Barbara, spending time in the garden is an undeniable lifestyle. A homeowner since 1979, I’ve had the opportunity to work not only on my own homes and gardens, but the properties of friends and neighbors as well. When my family and I arrived in Santa Barbara in the year 2000, I immediately realized this town is the ultimate outdoor living community. With the restoration of our 1910 Upper Eastside cottage and garden, my work as a designer in Santa Barbara had begun.
